To answer your question:
WHEEL - Width and offset is everything. With regard to just strict fitment, you have to do the math on the width and offset. And if you got that down, you can get away without modding anything on the car. If you stay with the factory offset and not go over 2" width from stock, you should be fine. Thats a best guestimate

TIRE - Your stock tires are 255/50/19 and 285/45/19, correct? If so you have a 29.09" overall rolling diameter. The proper tire size would be 265~285, 25series, R24. Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be 25series tires for 24" and only 30series. And with 285/30series you will get an overall rolling diameter of 30.73" or almost 6% difference, which is enough to mess with your ABS not to mention your speedo and strain to your tranny. The ABS can tolerate upto 4% difference.

I have 17s currently not 19s, my mistake. My current tire size in 235/65/17 and those are Blizzaks. I found some 22s I like and I will most likely get them after this post. It seems as if too many things can get messed up if I go with 24s which is what I figured.

Ahahahahaaaaaaa, oh my. I was ignoring this for a bit again. What an epic fail. I'd pay to see one of those donks come through NYC streets. Those wheels would be trashed in 5 miles. If you can't hear the rub, then it doesn't rub. Lol. I almost peed myself on that one. Listen you guys can do what you want. Just when you come here in the future, asking to diagnose a vibration, or tire wear issue, or premature part failure, please have a pic of your donk in the signature. That way, we will know where to start with the advice.

Wheel mod 101; If the wheels you are considering will clear the brake calipers by more then 1.5" DO NOT DO IT! The end result is a look that's similar to 18"s on a Civic that still has the stock tiny rotors.

You just keep getting it wrong. With 31 lb tires mounted on the discontinued ultra-light Envys, the assembly (rears no less) tip the scale BELOW 50 lbs each. I intentionally seeked out a set that is only load rated for the weight of a fully loaded X. When I tow, I have to switch to the OE 18s. So in fact, you, are the one with the heavy wheels.

You know I was thinking 24" wheels wouldn't look too bad on an X, but I was wrong. Those don't look good at all - the size or the style or color. Your Volks on the other hand, blend in quite well!
