I believe the duration depends on how quickly the catalytic converter warms up. It's possible 10 seconds is all it takes in the summer.

Have you cleared the code since you did the repair?

I have cleared it. It remains off for the duration of the day. On the next cold start, boom.. Code again.

Cisco, have you checked for any vacuum leaks? Especially any small hoses going to the actual secondary valve.

I know you replaced the large #11 but that about hoses not shown in the diagram?

Maybe we can run diags on the MAF and O2 sensors too.

I have replaced all the hoses and had the vehicle "smoked" to check for any vacuum leaks and none were found. I currently have no codes for O2 sensors and the MAF was replaced less than a month ago with a new OE one. This darn code is driving me nuts

Oh man, what are the chances that the replacement valve is faulty?!

We'll see what kind of test plan the GT1 comes up with.

By process of elimination that's the most likely issue. Should be easy enough to remove the valve and test it with a vacuum to see if it opens.

No need to remove it. Remove the hose from the air pump. just start the car, pull a vacuum on the other side, would create a huge exhaust leak if it works.

I just recently replaced the valve and all hoses associate with the valve and the pump, including the filter.

Any reply will be greatly appreciated.

2 minutes.
