Rear wiper blade stripped

having a problem on my X5 where the rear wiper blade will move every 15 seconds or so, but the blade itself will turn down.. after examining it the bolt is severely stripped along with the blade itself.. anywhere i can grab a replacement? still familiarizing myself with the vehicle so I could also have the wiper switch on..

Not understanding what you are trying to describe. So the wiper is in the parked position and when you turn it on, the motor and spindle spin, but the wiper arm just falls?

Point out where on the diagram.

Also please add your info in your signature like mine.

Thanks.

Ok, will do.

Number 5 on the diagram, the inside is very stripped. and the peice where it goes on to which would be #6 is also very stripped. tightening the nut, #4 on the lower right seems to help. the nut is also exposed and i don't have a cover that goes on top of it. and my wiper still goes on without me using it every 10-15 seconds...

So it just goes on by itself? Does your X have rain sensing wiper option? When does it go on?

going from simple to more complex -

is the wiper lever on the steering wheel set to initial position, i.e. not active for the rear wiper operation? the normal position is, the lever is pushed down into stable position, pulled back towards the driver and released into its normal position... there is a pull to hold and push to hold positions, that do not stay put on their own... so, when you pull the lever and push it down, the lever springs back into "0" position...

The rear wiper is designed to operate intermittently when car is driven forward, and continuously when the gear is in reverse... Throw the gear in reverse and see if the wiper goes non-stop... It will not resolve your problem, but will help further ID it...
