4.4 - V8 Rumble????
Should the 2002 4.4 have a bit of a v8 rumble to it at low revs. I'm not complaining, it sounds great but I don't remeber my 540i with this engine having that sound? I can only describe it as a bit of a muscle car sound at low revs, it seems to be drowned out by the whoosh at higher revs? I haven't heard another 4.4 yet so i don't know if this is just the normal sound of the car or my exhaust is breaking down? Any ideas? |

No, not illegal to remove the resonator. No damage to anything, cut the resonator out and you can either replace it with straight pipe or install an X-pipe.

yes the x5 is louder and in my opinion sounds better than the 540 because of diiferent factory exhaust tunning
