New Member, New X5
Greetings!!!
So, I sold my S52 E30 Crew Cab about 3 weeks ago. ![]() While it worked for toting our 3-month old son around...it was not exactly the best car for the job. Since then, I have been on the hunt for a X5 with a manual transmission. I was trying to keep my search limited to a 2004 - 2006 and with a black interior. These were the wife's wishes. And, since we have previously sold 2 of her cars to get me something fun, it was time for her to get what she wants in a car. So, after numerous calls to dealers, I found that most were listed incorrectly as manual. I even had to explain to one salesman how he could identify a manual transmission car. We finally found a viable option outside of Chicago. We finalized the deal on Friday at 4pm. I immediately booked my flight for the following morning. So, on Saturday, I woke up, flew to Chicago, bought the car and hit the road around 11am Chicago time. 720 miles, 5 states and and 9.5 hours later, I got my wifes's new car home. Now, we start the fun. Here she is, bone stock. A 2004 X5 3.0i 6-speed with 73k on the clock. Titanium Silver over black with plenty of options. The wife is happy. And I am on the hunt for some style 87's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Let the fun begin! And, since this will be the wife's car...and I no longer have my S52 E30...I will have to go back to driving our wagon. Poor me...right?
