Where does this hose go?

I've just removed the valve covers to change the leaky gaskets. I noticed this one hard plastic hose that I did not disconnect, but it does not seem to have a place to go. Where does this hose go?

Thanks. I certainly did not remember disconnecting it. That makes me feel better. I forget to post the crappy cell phone photo initially, but it's there now.

Just to make this job a bit more interesting, I found out that the previous hack mechanic had broken the casting on the passenger side valve cover, where the bolt for the top cover goes. Not a huge deal, but I never half ass mechanical jobs; so the valve cover will have to get replaced. Clearly this mechanical monkey had no clue; I've found a couple of the gasket washers missing; one fuel injector clip missing, and very clearly the valve covers were off without changing the gaskets, as they were all glued down all around with clear silicone. Only one bolt on each valve cover insert (plastic cover). No wonder this thing was leaking oil.

I was curious what it was too. Just did timing chain guides and it was the only thing left disconnected. Now I know what it is! And knowing is half the battle. :rimshot:

She loves the car. I'm just doing valve cover gaskets and plugs at this moment.
