clunking noise--right front

I have a clunking noise that sounds like it is coming from right front when I hit a bump. Easier to make happen when turning right. Have checked front suspension for anything loose. Installed new ball joints and bushings a few months ago so they 'should be good'. Almost sounds like exhaust hitting sometimes but checked and all seems tight.

Any ideas?

Did you change the swing arm supports as well?

I think he should grab the cv shaft going into the wheel and shake it to see if there is any play. Even if there is the smallest amount of play, that would equate to a clunk sound while driving. And if he's not sure, he can just shake the cv shaft on the other wheel. If there is no play there but there is on the side in question, then you may of found your culprit.

I replaced the control arms and the thrust arms. I didn't replace the tie rod ends or sway bar links. I don't know what you mean by the swing arm supports.

Oh, you mean the swing arm in the rear suspension, no, did not replace but noise seems clearly to be coming from the right front.

I've bee looking to find out exactly what are thrust arms. I was told they were in fact the upper control arms. Is this something else? I need to know because I bought some upper control arms. About to get them replaced. I can save on that labor if I got the wrong thing.

Thanks

google pelican parts. plug in your year and model then click on more under suspension parts. You will see front suspension parts listed, all parts are pictured if you click on the name.
