Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
it does look cleaner.

I pull all my badges off my cars for a clean look. To be honest unless my car is an ///M car or something, I would always pull badges off (yes, EVEN if I had an almighty 4.8is!!!). Everyone knows the car is an "x5" why do I need a badge identifying it? I have never heard about someone who bought a car and wouldn't buy it because it was missing the emblems. If they really want to put badges on their car its like 30 dollars to buy and refit yourselves.

I purchased fresh roundels when I bought the car, and debadged the 3.0i and X5 badges properly, and polished the area for a clean look. I've been doing on all my cars since I was 16.

I think you may right about this... But then again, I also wonder what percentage of people here do any (non-reliability/functionality) mods at all. I would think the percentage is les than 20 (maybe I'll start a poll)?

I love the de-badged look as well. If you ever want the badges back again, you could go with a shadowline or black badges to mix it up.

Form ALWAYS follows function in my book, mod like Colin Chapman, NOT Martha Stewart.

I faced a form follows function dilemma with my Viper a few years ago, Henessey Venom motor package (badge delete) with a 150 shot on top was causing 3rd gear wheelspin at over 100 mph (would run the 1/4 mile being e-braked/back throttled the whole way. The solution was an ACR wing, but couldn't do it because of all the front drive jap import running around with them (some even mounted upside down!!! Retards) Nothing worse then the Martha Stewart modders ruining a mod for the Colin Chapman modders! Would have helped plant the rear too, it would wander a tad over 160 mph.

Ditch the sides, leave the back. Never been a fan of the way the rear looks without the "X5" on the rear....It looks like its missing something. Everything else (side badges, dealer badges, engine acronyms) gets voted off the island.

Think you could be onto something here, might give this a try next wk when I'm finished work, worst case means only one set back on or off depending what I think

Always de badged my motors but more I look at it I don't mind the x5 on the back, my black carbon fibre BMW badges just arrived today too
