Badges ! Stay or go ?

I'm considering removing the X5 and 4.4i silver badges from my E53

Anyone got any thoughts, a 4.4i is kind of a big motor over here so part of me want to leave them on

I never liked the location that BMW chose for the model emblems, I'd take those off and leave the X5 on.

What does removing the engine liter size do for you/your car?
The 'badges', just behind front wheel well, are pretty discrete, imo.

If/when you go to sell it, the next person may not be as enthused about the missing badges as you were...

It isn't like it's some ugly dealer ad plague stuck on the rear of the car.

To me the badges actually look good, certainly they don't look bad. There are not too many of them and they are not a odd shape/size/style. If you take them off it's not like anyone who is at all interested in cars would not know what the vehicle is.

Keeping them because they are a "big engine" sounds like your main concern is the image you project while driving?

Personally I see no point in taking them off.

Seeing that your vehicle is Silver and the badges are chrome, there is minimal contrast between the 2, leave them. If I had a black X I would consider removing them because I dislike the drastic contrast between the two.

I would imagine most people on here do things to there motors just for the image, bigger alloys, hours of washing etc

Only reason for removing them is just for the look in general, iv owned a few de badged motors, thanks to everyone for there opinions I think you've all just helped me confirm there staying on

I took mine off about a month ago and I already regret doing it. They're good looking badges so why take em off?
