I have another question. My 4.6 seems to sometimes seem to sort of keep hesitating going into top gear between 4 th. and 5th once you put the boot down more it goes in spot on I have always had diesels and this is my first petrol and I was wondering is this the way the petrol is that u just have to drive it harder and sometimes it can go back into first hard I not sure where to look first or just live with it

If you are going flat out, the tranny will never go to first unless at the stand still. If you are moving and doing enough speed to go into 4th and 5th gear, the most it would jump is by one gear maybe 2.

I don't know about your diesels, but mine do the same thing.
