What exhaust tip is this?

So I'm thinking this is not a stock exhaust tip on here? 3.0L.....

anyone see this before?

dderrr...I thougt the stock one was two small tips or one small tip or something? So what kind of 'tip' upgrade can I do short of welding on a new end. I may just paint those black so they blend in better, but would love some chrome tips.

Quad tips are 4.4i only.

Nothing that would look good if you don't cut and re-weld.

These are the only non-welding tips that will work => BMW Exhaust Tips x5 Stainless Steel | eBay

If you look closely, there's a cut-out on the bottom of the tips for your OE tips to protrude through. I've seen this in person, and it does NOT look good at all.

I've tried the "cut & re-weld" method and was OK with it for a while, but ultimately replaced it with a Remus exhaust.

Those OEM chrome tips just makes those droopy pipes stand out even more. I thought there was a black chrome option for the sports version which look much better, but I can't seem to find it now. If you're not going to change the tip itself, I think it's much better if you just spray the whole exhaust black to hide them. I've had success with using matte barbeque paint on mufflers

I have black chrome on my 3.0 Sport... if someone wants them after I take them off the truck, I'll let them go for free - just pay shipping.

cut the single tips off and weld a "4.4 style"-double endtip on each muffler and i think it looks great.
