I have the same exact cable form the Original Post. the dude even has video instructions on how to set it up. Instructions get you almost there. Then you need to start making post for help.

GT1 is a huge bitch to set up. I didn't even do this yet, because my laptop wont support VM. I have a mobile processor.

Basically, once you get INPA installed, you are 90% there.

I agree. I spent a lot of time on setting it up too. There is a workaround for the non-virtualization hardware like your laptop. If I remember right there is an old VM client or workstation that would still work on these laptops but you have to make sure you don't upgrade it.

IMPA does not require VM. Only GT1 or SSS does. I wouldn't say you are 90% there but you are on the right path

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
I'm all about getting this for 35 bucks (I'd love to lower my X an inch, and I need to do coding things like cold monitoring off and high beams on with low beams), but since I have switched to Macs for the past 5 years, I have no access to a PC laptop to use this program on.

The seller from Romania is extremely fast to answer my questions, I have sent him a few msgs already, wouldn't hesitate to buy from him

Guys can you dumb this down for me?

As far as I can understand, you buy the cable with DVDs from the guy on ebay in Romania and as long as your laptop is up to speed with operating system and what not it is usable?

What is exactly a bitch about getting this program to run? I'm not a computer engineer but I know the basics.

Although you can go by probably converting a VM to a VirtualBox, I don't think they released the yellow head service for mac. Just to be clear you need a service that runs on the host that is in between your VMs and USB.
You would need to buy a 32bit windows laptop to do that or install windows on one of your macs

It's doable with patience and time. Just follow the instructions from the DVDs.

Ricky, exactly as fmugur stated. Just pain in the ass lots of steps. You need to make sure your laptop is 32 bit, win xp.

I purchased the cable from the first post. He includes video files on the DVDs to help install.

Just follow those to the T, and you will be there.

Install Inpa first, that is a must. Once you have that working, you can verify your cable is working, and you can start coding.

my work laptop is win 7 32 bit (for compatibility sake on some old apps). I assume this will work like XP.
