ABS-Brake-DSC lights light up

Dear technicians!

My 2001 X5 (E53) 3.0i is giving me troubles with the ABS-system
While braking at low speed, the ABS kicks in immediately (vibrating braking pedal) and after short while the ABS-Brake and DSC lights lighten up.

However, when stopping the car and restarting, the problem disappears to show up whenever wanted (could be after a day, could be after an hour).

Bad ABS-sensor?
Bad ABS-computer?

Anyone having experience with this problem?

Thanks!
Merry christmas everyone!!
Jan from Holland

start by checking wheel speed sensors. than check steering position sensor. than check the abs module, one of those is the problem
