Hey guys, sorry for taking so long to post about the led reverse lights I have.
I checked them again and they're actually 20w, and not 25w. There are 25w ones now but I haven't ordered any to test yet.
So before I was running the 20W projector leds, I was running 7.5w projector leds. These projector leds don't really work too well with our X, because of the bulb placement. Unlike other cars, our bulbs are actually side ways, and as some of you have researched already, the proectors are at the end of the LED, which in our case, shoots the light diagonally instead of shinning out of the housing.
First the 7.5w projector LEDs,
These are bright, because they have led light coming out from the side as well. They are different than traditional projector leds, which only shine light out from the top. These work quite well, but because of the yellowish light the stock bulbs emit, I do believe the stock bulbs light up more.
The 20w projector LEDS are pretty much the same design.
except, it uses cree led on the side as well. This is supposedly brighter, but to be honest, I don't see too much of a difference compared to the 7.5w projector led.
It's a shame that our light bulbs has to be put in sideways, or else having projector leds will be definitely much brighter than the conventional halogen bulb.
