Anyone have problem with the moonroof mesh?
![]() Well I 'stole' this picture from an old thread so apology to the member who posted this pic ![]() I have been experiencing some rattling noise with my E53 and I found out it's the moonroof mesh, one end of the mesh is lose(the black mesh pictured above, bolt/nut securing it is gone) and it's rattling like crazy when the road is not perfectly flat, and it's really annoying.... Anyone had this problem before? Is it possible to fix/re-secure the mesh without removing the whole moonroof? |

My guess is that it is possible to fix/re-secure the mesh without removing the whole moon roof. However, you will likely have to "drop" the headliner.

I'm thinking if you remove the rear glass, you might be able to access it.
