Valvetronic intermediate lever problem..
I have the same issue with mine. I just hold the revs around 1500rpm until the temp needle starts to move, after that it idles normally. I've learned to live with it over the cost of repairing it as it has no effect on driveability once the engine reaches operating temp.

I have new valve cover gaskets in the garage, it's just been too cold to work on the car for the past few months. I plan on doing it as soon as it warms up a little.

Really we are a special kind of stupid to own a car that valve cover gaskets are a 1000 dollar job.
89 mustang 300,000 miles before needed and 1 cam follower 150 bucks at dealer. |
