On my 3.0 w/o DSP it started doing this the other day, there was a bundle of wires coming from the hatch to the body on the right side that was chafing. It would randomly come on and then go back off. I pulled off the rubber boot and saw a stripped wire. Just an idea before you start replacing parts.
