Yea they had a 4.4 but i was too late. Ok cool. What firmware is the best or most up to date? Is 01 a certain disc, only ones ive seen so far are for 03 and newer.

since you have the MK3, your choice is limited to the CDs... if a seller sells CD maps for a BMW, chances are it will work for you... the DVD maps were made for the MK4 and there were other version DVD maps (diff file structure or whatnot) for the non-iBus cars, the newer ones...

for the firmware you need the part number 01 59 0 141 891 (index y)... the dealer will try to sell you maps for $200 but the firmware disk is only about $10. if you don't give them the part number, they will have no idea what you are talking about...

I have no plans for going to Hbg, otherwise, you could have used mine to upgrade your firmware... if you come to bimmerfest East in MD in July, you might get it upgraded there, I had my disk with me last time, and we did one truck at the time...

Get an aftermarket dynavin or anything new. 2001 navigation sucks. Completely useless

Haha i cant read much of it but looks decent. Also since i prob need an air bag can i put sport air bags on it and not change ride heigth? Also thoughts on dinan trans software?
