Those look more like 4.6is mufflers, not 4.8is. You may want to look at a dynaflow ultraflo to replace the resonators you have. It's a dual in/out resonator with an internal x-pipe.

Just a follow-up note to say that I ended up getting an original exhaust from a breakers.
Just in case anyone out there might be interested in the custom set, here it is on eBay: BMW-E53-V8-4-4i-Custom-Sports-Exhaust-complete-including-catalytic-converters Thanks again for everyone's advice.
