GX 460 - Thoughts?

Hi All,

I have had 05 BMW x5 4.8is for a while now and it's been pretty good with very few issues (recently soft close stopped working ), however i have around 82K and am thinking if i should trade it in for something else...I am scared about transmission or engine issues (thought i have not had any issue yet or any indication of an issue so far).

I did test drive GX 460 and it did not seem that bad (I went in thinking it would be a turd to drive, but infact it was'nt that bad) however since i did not have an extended drive i wanted to check with the members here if they have any experience with the Lexus GX series in general and how will they hold up compared to an X5, i did like the interior of the GX, drive was ok but did'nt push it to the limits so not sure.

Anyone moved from X5 to GX? please let me know your thoughts.
(BTW i do have an old 325xit which has been super so far which i intend to keep till it dies)

Thanks.
