AWESOME to see that you can tuck them inside the AE door opening. Its a big help sir to see these pics.

Ukrcan, I'll find out soon how they hold up in Calgary weather.

Just for information, I let then ON by 2 hours and they was really hot. The engine was off, btw. Looks like that little two "ballasts" and the LED bulb was on hell hahaha

I hope the AE housing support that heat.

I'd be a little concerned sticking those resistors inside the housing like that long term. Typically, you see them mounted on the nearest metal surface, away from any plastic. And that's with resistors for turn signal bulbs. I would assume that most people are going to be running juice through their angel eyes a lot longer and more consistently than turn signals. I think if I went with these, I'd figure out a way to cut a notch in the AE cover and find some metal near, but not touching, the plastic housing to mount the resistors. By putting them INSIDE the housing, you're actually risking heat damage to the wires, connectors, etc. in the housing itself, and not just warping or melting the housing.

sweep the leg, I was thinking of cutting notches in the AE housing cover lip too to run the wires and resistor packs outside where they can breathe. Will see what I come up with.

It's been a week or so since I was digging into the area behind the headlights, but from Christiano's pictures, it looks like there should be a metal tab nearby that might work well. Let us know what you think will work based on the wire length. And post some pics.

Yes, pics. I'll make a 400 mile trip next weekend and give all the feedback about heat, ok? Chris

Can you snap a picture of the car on a sunny day as well, it would give us a better idea of how bright they are in sunshine
Good luck with your trip!

Tried to take these as close to what one would see with their eye on my dslr.

Pretty much direct sunlight for comparison:

Ignoring all the pepper marks....the hood and mirror are being replaced as soon as the streets are cleaned up. The bumper is being stripped and repainted on the insurance company's dime as well.
