-- Looking for rear subframe bushing tool rental in Detroit, Mi --

The parts are on order and once the weather turns nice, I will be tackling it! I just thought I would ask around to see if anyone close would be so kind to let me borrow the tool? Or if anyone has a genius idea that might help make this job a little easier, feel free to chime in!

Thanks

I am not looking to deal with a company or shipping. Just somebody local to the Detroit area.

Thanks

I might be slightly larger than I ought to be, but certainly not "company" size.

Let me know if you're interested though. I've been told I'm pretty easy to deal with, and the tool works pretty doggone well.

I hear ya davintosh! I'm not casting stones or anything, just cheep

I will be attempting the "procedure" with my trusty threaded rod, some pieces of steel pipe, washers and some pieces of steel for backing plates tomorrow in the driveway!

Here's a big if... " IF " it all goes well I might even try to tackle the rear ball joints too. Most likely not until Sunday tho

That's how I started; took me four hours to replace one of the four, and I broke down & bought the tool for the other three.

I have read the horror stories of trying to do the job with out the proper tool or trying a home made version so I rented the tool from davintosh. Was easy to work with, tool arrived when it was supposed to, and most importantly the tool made the job easy and saved a big bunch of time.
