problem pairing car with the phone over BT

My car stopped connecting to my phone via bluetooth a few days ago. I have deleted the pairing and tried to pair the phone with the car using the instructions from the manual (which i found to be very confusing) but with no success… Online search did help either. When i bought the car two months ago the sales rep at the dealership paired my phone with the car and never showed me how to do it. I called him the other day and he doesn't remember how he did it… What are the actual steps of connecting the car that doesn't have a docking connector to a bluetooth phone? I hope it's just a glitch and my BT module still works…
My car doesn't have nav, but has DSP, build date is Aug, 2006
