Amazon not necessarily the problem I get OE or OEM parts via Amazon regularly you just need to ensure (comments can help) they are OEM / OE or at least quality parts.

I need "a bajillion" one use exterior plastic rivets to put the mud guard back on after working on brakes so hoping to find some quality ones. Good luck to me.

The cheap knock offs just don't fit well and my handle, although opening the door, doesn't match up well.

It looks like crap actually.

Hope that was my advice. I'm the only one I've seen post a repair method vs replace with same defective design so you can do it regularly. It can be tricky to get that wire wrapped but it's VERY satisfying to actually fix the problem not replace with same roulette wheel design.

If the fit n finish problem is that the handle doesn't close all the way down you just need to shave the rubber seal down a little bit with a razor blade. (The break off extending tool type works great).

I took an ORIGINAL carrier out of one car and put in another and had the exact same problem and I've taken a cheap copy carrier and not had the problem. (In that case the spring was too long and was cutting into the glass window though!)

When I've used copy cat carriers I've moved the OE cables over they are pre-shaped into an "S" either by the factory or by time and will work better. I also put lubrication on the gear but not the lock mechanism.

I also cut the nub off the lock mechanism that holds the handle down and has no purpose than increasing the odds of breaking the hinge. I've never had to do the same door twice so far but wife's I didn't realize to reinforce the hinge and was my first one so I also didn't cut the nub but did teach her:

When you think the door is stuck by frost it is not! It's surely the handle carrier lock stuck you have to wait for the door to warm up and dry out inside.

Several times one of her doors has stuck in this manner and she avoided breaking her carrier with this simple knowledge. (She wasn't happy about having to crawl in the passenger door occasionally but at least by the time she got home the door warmed up and defrosted)
