bcredliner. I'm looking for a shot like the one in my sig. Trying to get an idea of the offset from an angle like that.

Having issues with posting pictures on this forum, here is what I am talking about.

DTMdan, I was worried about that, so I have a set of 15mm spacers and longer bolts to use to see, but I just hate using free floating spacers and extended bolts, ever since I realized the awesomeness of bolt on spacers. And they just don't make bolt on spacers in less than 20mm sets

I have 12mm on my fronts and it's perfect IMO (15 will be perfect too)... anything larger and they'll be sticking out too far, at least with 25mm in the back. Don't worry about using ext bolts, I've used them for years without problems. I'm not sure why but I felt a little uneasy when I had the DRA spacers.

No, The lowering kit comes with new front springs to lower the front. To lower the rear there are links on each side that attach to a electrical connection. That connection tells the vehicle how much to increase air pressure to bring the X5 up to spec height. The link is adjustable so the shorter you adjust the link the lower the backend will be, in other words, the shorter link fools the self leveling system into thinking the backend is at spec level. The OE link is not adjustable.

ah, make sense, i was wondering how you'd lower the car with self levelling suspension...
Are you running stock shocks with the new springs on the front? how much stiffer is the ride?
I had my e46 lowered with springs on stock shocks and really like the look but hated the ride...

I have Bilsteins struts on the front and stock shocks in the rear. The ride is stiffer but I can feel the road much more than I could before. I also installed Eibach front and rear sway bars, that REALLY made a difference in turn in and body lean.

yeah sway bars are a must...
Will see how the ride is on a bigger rims and low profile tires before i decided if i want to lower it... the roads are pretty bad around here...
