LED tail lights - Capacitor wiring question
Trying to add a capacitor to Tail Light factory harness. Can someone please confirm which wires should I tap on the factory harness? (see image) Also can someone confirm (just to be sure) if the black stripe on the capacitor does indeed means it is the negative side? It IS the same side with the shorter "leg". (see Image) Thank you! ![]()

Don't tap to the factory wires.
Tap it to the aftermarket light hardness . Shorter leg goes to black wire and other goes to the green wire ( on the aftermarket light housing hardness . |

Short leg is Negative, confirmed. Now which wires? hmmm... I do not have an aftermarket harness as this is not an aftermarket tail light assembly. All I am doing is using LED bulbs to replace factory bulbs.

I don't have my X5 any more to test the wires for you been so long that I done it to mine 7-9 years ago .. |
