going to the dealer to get coded...

So my closest dealership is 4 hours away in Denver, which i will be there this weekend. im planning on going by to have my DRL coded off is there any other features that i should have turned on or off while im at it? this is in my 03 X5 4.4L with navigation, sport package and winter package. also how long does it usually take to do coding and if there are any Denver folks on here is there a specific dealership that you would go to over another?

Dealerships are very specific on what they are willing to "code" for you. I would look around for someone local to you who does NCSCoding. Will be much cheaper and you will have the freedom to chose from everything available.

dealer will charge you at least an hour of labor, and will deny you some coding options, claiming it is not possible...

as XCUS has mentioned, find someone who can do it for you, and you choose what you want, or, learn how to do it yourself, invest about $40 into a cable and software...

as far as what to program - windows to roll up/down with doors ajar, windows to roll up on keyfob, fogs to stay on with highbeams, car clock synched to GPS satellites, gong to stay mute with key in ignition, turn off the front yellow corners... do a search for the "coding what not to forget" thread, it should have possible options to consider...

The "coding thread" is on the 1st page (approx 20 threads down) as of right now. Depending on how many new threads get posted...it may roll over to the 2nd page...but again, as of right now the huge 219 replies/8422 viewed thread is on the 1st page.

I got my X coded by someone who is able to also code over the internet. As long as you have an internet connection he will send you the cable to connect to your computer and he can code your X. He also have a facebook page. Search for TRIPL3_O Coding.

He was in my City over the holidays and I had him do my X. It just cost me $60.00.
