Stealership WIN!!

Yesterday I went to Cos BMW Center in Loveland, Colorado to pick up a new Hitch kit. I must say the parts department there was extremely helpful!

He recommended I get an extra bag expansion rivets (I broke 6...).

The price of the hitch was $495 with $7 for the rivets. He then helps me out to my car with the GIGANTIC box with the hitch kit.

After we go back inside, he prints up my receipt and tells me he went ahead and added a Premium BMW discount, taking off $76!!

Couldn't be happier!!

Glad to see you had a good experience. When ONE person has ONE experience at ONE dealership that is sour, they automatically think ALL of them are the same way. Hopefully they continue to hook you up!

No doubt! I normally stay FAR away from them as I don't like the inflated prices. But as many on here can attest, locating the OEM Westfalia hitch kit for the E53 is quite a task.

There are somethings though that you just have to get from the stealer, like it or not.
I did install it myself last night. Took me 4.5 hours and was an PITA experience. I used many bad words, cut my hands on the muffler heat shield screws a few times, and enjoyed the wife/daughter flashlight holding teamwork

Other than that, nothing fits like OEM parts. Every bolt lined up perfectly and we brilliantly designed. Very happy with the kit.

So, just wondering, why did you call them a stealer in your post and put the word stealership in your thread title? Did they really deserve that?

Some of spent our careers working for dealerships. We object to the word stealership being applied randomly, and especially when it isn't deserved. It just perpetuates the myth that all dealers are out to get you. They aren't.

/rant

On a related note, there is a dealership forum on this board, where you can put a simple summary of your experience and the dealer name. That way, when others search the dealer name and/or location, they will see your post. Good service should be paid back with increased business.

Cheers

Jeff

Ok, I posted in the Dealer area my experience. I would like them to receive great future parts and new car sales. I wouldn't curse BMW service prices on anyone though.

If you were to have service/repair to be done here, I am sure they do have astronomical prices (As to be expected) like any dealership. Hence where the term Stealership is derived, IMHO. Most dealers have comparable prices on parts and I was lucky to be given a gracious discount on top of the market part price.
Aside from this, I would not go so far as not revoke the stealership moniker from this dealer or any dealer. But I will recommend them as far as dealers are concerned. Cheers.

they also have huge facilities, rent to pay, payroll, and maintenance. there prices may be high on some stuff but theres markup no matter what you purchase. You hate them, but would probably take a job there if offered one
