Just stick with Castrol 5W30 synthetic and a BMW filter like it was engineered to. You drive a BMW, not a Kia; take care of it and it will take care of you. I don't understand why people think it's absolutely necessary to go aftermarket on something that was built by engineers. When something fails, they blame it completely on the vehicle and almost never on the fact that they used some type of subpar part.
