need advice with tuning

hello to everybody here,I'm new,my name is Tim,I'm 25 and I just bought X5 E53 4.4 2006 year

I want to do some interier and exterier tuning,so I need your help with advices,guys

so
1) I want to make the ceiling black with alcantara;
2)to paint all the wood details into aluminium silver;
3)install running boards;
4)install X5 E70 gear knob - BMW E36 E38 E39 E46 E53 x5 Z3 Z4 at Gear Shift Knob | eBay
5)install pedals - BMW M Tech E34 E36 E38 E65 Z3 E53 x5 E83 x3 Black Auto Aluminum Pedal Pedals | eBay
6)install 4.8is body kit (but i think it 4.8is front and rear bumper lips are dissapearing,because car is black,am I right?)
7)install M steering wheel and sport seats
8)not sure about rims,I think style 128

SO,if you agree or disagree with any of my ideas,or you want to add something,I would appreciate it very much! thanks in advance !

P.S Here are the actual pics of my car so you can better give me advices how to tune it

so
1) I want to make the ceiling black with alcantara; SEXY
2)to paint all the wood details into aluminium silver; It won;t come out right, it will look painted. You are better off painting it something else or getting the real thing, but that is only my opinion.
3)install running boards; A lot of members have done this mod and it looks stylish IMHO, but some don't. I think it looks good. SlickGT1 has a thread about how he installed it and where he got it for a great price.
4)install X5 E70 gear knob - Meh, impartial, but it is your whip, do what you want.
5)install pedals - Again, impartial. I prefer to keep the cars they way they are and not badge them what they aren't. But that doesn't mean I am not tempted to put the X5M badge on the ass of my 4.8IS. Some get flamed and some get praised. But again, its your car, do what you want.
6)install 4.8is body kit (but i think it 4.8is front and rear bumper lips are dissapearing,because car is black,am I right?) You can look at pictures of my car. 4.8IS and it looks good and doesn't blend in too much. I think it looks good and adds a nice touch though.
7)install M steering wheel and sport seats This is a pricey mod, but to each his own. The steering wheel is a nice touch. Consider seating though. Have you sat in Sports seats before? Some prefer it such as I and nome like the Comfort Seating with the 1 million way seat adjustments.
8)not sure about rims,I think style 128 I like

SO,if you agree or disagree with any of my ideas,or you want to add something,I would appreciate it very much! thanks in advance !
Good luck with her and welcome to the forum once again. You will find plenty of information regarding this beast. When you get a chance, please place some info in your signature such as I have. If gives other forum members and easier time to answer your questions without having 5 people flaming you asking, "How many miles, what kind of car, what year? And saves you time by placing that info all the time.

Good luck and welcome!

I would seriously consider putting the $ into maintenance. Once the truck is rock solid, then modify it.

Welcome!

I'd loose the chrome window trim first!

otherwise definitely look into maintenance items first

He means depending on how many miles, you may need to do a cooling system overhaul, belts, water pump, filters, oil change, spark plugs, etc.

Welcome to the forum!

If you want to change your interior you can have it vinyl wrapped. Several have done so and it looks good.

If you are looking for pedals without the M logo there are several sources. If you like those I don't think you will get any grief since they are inside the X.

I have an SMG M3 paddleshift wheel on my X. I purchased a used wheel on Ebay and restored it to like new for about 1/4th. the cost of a new wheel. Here is a link to the installation procedure. You may want a different wheel but the changeover will be very close: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ions-pics.html

Do you know the history of your X? How many miles?

welcome to the forum... nice looking truck...

1. is a lot of work for little benefit
2 easy, paint or wrap
3 running boards in conjunction with 4.8iS kit, as some pieces need to match, relatively easy
4 easy
5 pedals, easy
6 easy, a lot of bulk item work
7 steering wheel, watch out for airbag
7a seats are easy, bolt on, watch out for airbag light

you are talking several grand here, the steering wheel alone is about a grand, the seats can be close to a grand, the running boards...

how is your truck mechanically and electronically? what are the miles? do you have maintenance history on it?
each item on these cars (like anything else in this life) has its expected service life, and unfortunately, some items are rather pricey to repair unless they are taken care of before failure...
