On the contary - and a different model altogether - i would be interested in installing a rear wiper on my E39 sedan if I can manage to find a rear glass with a hole (or get it customized for not a lot of $$)

Here is a pic of my rear with the plug installed, for free it works awesome. I needed no adhesive either, it fits in the hole tight and is flush to the glass. If anyone is looking to get a free sample and is confused which plug to order let me know I can help you out.

If I were to remove the wiper, that's the way I would do it. Looks fine, especially if you consider the cost to replace the glass. Leaves lots of $$$ for stuff that makes a bigger difference.
