The "metal clip" In the folding Mirrors

Went troubleshooting why my mirrors would do the fold-in-fold out issue and it turns out one side, the metal clip is missing...

Anyhow, any idea where I can buy this part just short of buying a mirror assembly off Ebay..

That's what I thought when I opened the driver's side mirror. But it was there, in a recess. It fell off from the switch. Look closer, it might be there.

I just found a button on my driver side door that makes my wing mirrors fold in when I press it but when I release the button the mirrors fold back out. Is this the same issue you were having ? Did you find the solution ? The motors on both side work but I don't know why they won't stay in the folded position . Where would the metal clip be located ? Any schematics ?

edit: Found post with fix.
