5 weeks of ownership and problems start

I think it is time to take that tail light out completely and inspect it. I am going to bet that you have a burned contact on the light itself. That's why you get that message even with a new bulb.

So I changed the alternator/voltage regulator(a job I would never do again) and everything so far has been good. The suspension level light wanted to go off. The trans fail prog light didnt come back. But the trifecta light was still in. I disconnected the battery for over an hour and all the lights went away.

I drove the car around for a couple of hours and the lights didnt show up (knock on wood). I have been monitoring the volts and its steady around 13.7 with AC on. It'll go to 13.9 but thats pretty much where it stays.
