5 weeks of ownership and problems start

This is a 05 4.8is.

I am going to give the full event of what is going on...

So yesterday I took the truck in to have the outer axle boot replaced on the left side. Drove the car home no problem. When I got home I changed a failed brake light bulb and ended up falling asleep in the truck with the driver door and door behind opened for about an hour and a half to 2 hours.

I woke up, started her up and everything was normal. Drove around and was on my way home when suddenly the "SUSPENSION LEVEL INACT" light popped up in the dash. I drove a few feet and stopped at the light. When I was ready to move off the car had no power and the "4x4" light came on plus another light which looks like the tires were low on air. i pulled over, shut it down and restarted it. It started fine and I gingerly drove home. Park the vehicle and did the steering wheel turn from left to right as I read on here. That caused the lights to go out. I want to also mention that since this issue started, my radio has been cutting out.

This morning I started her up and drove it around. Everything was normal. Then suddenly the same issue started again, but this time i got FAILED TRANS PROG, ABS, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, BRAKE, lights all came up with the transmission not having any power. My navi screen also started cutting in and out and my steering wheel got stiff as if the car shuts off.

I took the car to autozone and had the battery tested. battery was 12 volts.
while on my way home i decided to change the battery since the navi screen started cutting in and out. when i pulled up to the building of autozone, i noticed that the light on the wall was dimmed, as in the head lights were not emitting as it should.

I went to autozone, change the battery and i was still getting all the lights in the dash. I drove to the gas station, filled up and all of a sudden all the lights went out. While on my way home after changing the battery and filling up on gas, I noticed my RPM jumping up and down. Then the SUSPENSION LEVEL INACT and other lights came up again. I parked the vehicle and walked away.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Looks like I have electrical among other things going on. The battery that was in the car seemed to have been the original bmw battery, as it didnt appear anyone ever unscrew any of those bolts to get to it.

now im lost. i havent hooked up any computer to test anything so i cant comment on that.

I wouldn't be surprised about that as it is electrical as well. Are you able to open the cluster on your car to check the voltage from the alternator? Or start the car and check the voltage from the engine contact points to see what it's putting out.

Im not able to do anything at this point. I threw the battery at it to see if that would help but it didnt. from this point on it seems i will have to get someone to look at it.

But a side note, I noticed when the shop was taking out the axle to change the boot, he was banging on it because it was stuck. could the impact from that damaged any sensor in the area?

Ride height sensor got put back on incorrectly. Once it's aligned you should be alright.

check the other side of the car to see which way the other side is pointing... those "elbows" are notorious for being flipped inside out...

Is the part in the picture the ride height levelling sensor? Or is it the headlight levelling sensor or its one unit for both jobs ?
