Damage to the Panzer

I have owned this vehicle since 2005. I have been hit from behind once, that was the only body damage I have ever had, until yesterday.

Driving on the highway at around 55 mph slowing for and exit, some where in front of me a vehicle lost something and I could see the swerves begin ahead of me. I was ready to avoid this object, until the truck in front of me ran over it shooting it up into the air. It was a scrap metal car hood. It landed on the front right of my X5. I almost avoided it completely.

Here is the damage. It take it in to get it repaired today. Allstate has been pretty quick about things.

Look like just cosmetic. Still suck though. That's what insurance is for.
She will come out better than before.

Sorry to hear it.

Maybe you could do a few upgrades with the insurance money... 4.6 front bumper, Depo headlights, 4.8 front fender flares...

I meet with the BMW body shop today, we will discuss a few things like that. Deductible is $100 for Comprehensive. I should be able to upgrade a few things.

Ouch! Sorry to see that - it's not too bad though. And as you already know, this is the time to upgrade.

I'm interested in the old headlights if you decide to upgrade them.

Aside from the obvious 1/4 panel, hood, headlight, bumper - I would be 50/50.
My bodyshop is amazing but to replace those and then some + paint, refinish, it might be getting close to total value.

Hope you got a get a great bodyshop/adjuster combo...
DON'T USE the the express service.
Use you bodyshop of you choice...

Yes... I am going to the adjuster in 2 hours and then taking that offer straight to a repair place that does about 70% of their work on BMW body repair.
