First experience at Tire Rack. They were great, sent the tires right away.
The installing supervisor at the tire shop very nice, however during the 4 wheel alignment they didn't seem to understand some basics about X5 jacking procedures. They actually thought they had to jack the X up using the rear leaf suspension in order to avoid the damaging the rear air ride. Or they might have or remove a fuse, or lift the hood to disable the switch for the air ride.
By now I'm confused because I never heard of such a thing.
My response was simple. You have only one basic choice to jack up my X. That would be the four jacking points clearly made for the job, period.
The tire installer still raised the hood thinking there was some switch that would disable the air ride. Put the hood down bro there's no switch
Anyway job is finished but I need to return and get the steering wheel centered. Rear bumping noise from a bad tire is gone as well. It was a bad set of Michelins. Now it time to try this new set of Continental Extreme contacts DWS XL....
