I will as soon as I decisively determine that the cause of my problem is indeed the aforementioned clip. Until that can be positively ruled out, I am unable to mark the title accordingly.

so my window regulator clips are indeed broken but so is the clip the window slides on. See attached picture. I am going to have to replace the regulator arent I?

No, i dont think so. if its the regulator clip thats broken as well you can buy replacement ones on ebay, or atleast you can here in the uk. they are cheap, around £5, but they are plastic and not the metal oem type.

i found the clips on ebay. Thank you Imy! The ones I bought are plastic reinforced with metal. Now to figure out how to replace them..
