I like the before wheels, too bad they're not 20's, the new wheels don't get me excited for some reason, they're definitely too narrow for my liking, but if you're happy I'm happy.

I'm confused? The 'before wheels' pictured are the same ones..just with smaller tires mounted on them..

Thank you though!

Oh yeah, sorry, I meant tires...lol! IMHO I think you should have taken your time and shopped around for both wheels and tires, the taller profile of those tires plus the tread pattern make it look like a soccer mom mini-van and they definitely wont help the handling, again just my opinion. If you search the the threads here on the forum you will see most guys love the look of the factory 20" staggered setup, (I myself have 22x10.5 at all four corners) 20x9.5 front 20x10.5 rear, tires 275/40/20 front 315/35/20 rear, that will give you some serious meat. So at a minimum you should go with 20's (I think 18's and 19's are too small) to get the look and stance you desire, along with lowering it, and no do not cut the springs! Checkout the links below, here's what I came up with after a 5 minute search for 20" wheels on my local Craigslist.

BMW new x6 style 20" staggred ris sets. Fit all x5. 20x10/20x11

Brand New 20" BMW 2011 X5 STAGGERED WHEELS RIMS X5 X6

BMW X5 NEWER 20" M STYLE NEW STAGGERED RIMS SETS

BMW X5 replica 21" rims wheels

Happy Motoring!

Lol thank you for the response! I hang out with a bunch of X5's and I do understand that the 20's with wide fitment/tires are beautiful and look great! I know all about them but I am 18 years old and going to college so I have no money to buy wheels. These were handed to me for FREE so I couldn't pass them up..they look better than stock in my opinion.

Also...no offense but don't you think if I had the option to "shop around" for new wheels I would get 20's and new wide tires!? Lol I would NEVER pay money to put on 19's that are only 9.5 wide

Good for you! Stick to your guns, son, and be comfortable returning the fire.

Log into permanent memory, if it is not already there, whenever you ask what if I do this, or what do you think about what I have done the responses will be heavily weighted toward the negative.

Ahhhh...so let me get this straight, when a forum member doesn't agree with the OP after they specifically ask, and I quote, "What do you guys think"?(the original thread title was, "New wheels!! What do you think"..?) we're somehow being negative? That's a real good attitude to ingrain on our young college student, yep he'll go far in the world with an attitude like that. If I'd had that type of attitude when I was a young airman going through Air Force flight training I don't think I'd have over 10,000hrs of flying time in 22 years today. They would've booted my a$$ a long time ago, one thing I learned from my folks, playing sports and serving in the military, there is (no matter what I thought otherwise) such a thing as constructive criticism.

Respectfully, No, all of the points of your post have it as straight as a sidewinder snake climbing a sand dune.

Reading the posts of OP, I feel confident he has the intellect to interpret my advice, think about it, perhaps even watch for examples and then intelligently decide whether it is of any value to him or not.

He also has a good handle on constructive criticism based on his response to you and as likely, your response to me.

If you would like to discuss the meaning of my post or have me offer some constructive criticism of your interpretation of constructive criticism please PM me.
