Is this Hitch missing any parts?

I am thinking of picking up a used OEM trailer hitch, but i am not sure what it is supposed to look like and what components come in a kit. Can somebody tell me if this hitch has everything i need for installation (bolts are included)
I know the picture is kinda small but that's all i've got...

And there should be two really big square inserts for it to bolt onto the car's frame. They slide into the frame on the left and right and are bolted onto it from underneath the car through threaded bolts welded inside the inserts. They're at least 18" deep and very, very heavy. They provide the structural integrity to the hitch and the frame. They should be visible as separate pieces even in a small picture like this.

If it is a factory hitch it should have inserts which replace the rear bumper shock absorbers.
Do a search on OEM hitch install and you will see the process and what parts should come with it.

If you are only getting what is in that photo, then yes, it is missing parts.

You need the receiver (shown in your photo), the new bumper mount (full width of the bumper), the replacements for the collapsible bumper supports, the bumper hangers, the wiring module, the wiring harness (shown in your photo) and all the fasteners.

See this photo. Photo credit to UcrewX5. This is what you need.

New hitches are back in stock @ECS. I'd go that route.

the only way you can get a used hitch with ALL parts, if the seller is either parting the car or if he had original parts that he is reinstalling back onto the car... otherwise, the inserts and the bumper mount can't be removed as in that case the bumper will not stay on the car...

oh mine - today i saw an E53 on a flatbed going south on I-95, around mile marker 160 in VA.. it was a 4.4, did not notice if it was facelifted or not... the car must have rolled or something... it was bad... it did have a factory tow package though... wonder if they will part it or fix it...

Thanks for all the reply guys... i had a feeling a few things were missing as the picture did not look like it had all the components (comparing with a picture on ECS) i thought maybe once there were all put together, this is what it would look like...
