Yes, it is, very "chunky" I like it.. Would be nice if the car came with the N52 like the '07+, but hey, can't have everything!

I found 3 07+ M-sports on ebay, more than I thought I could find, 2 at the same dealership in PA actually.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is the "M-Sport package" on E83 a standalone option in addition to Sports Package? I saw one X3 build sheet and it looks like a lot of the M-sport options are in the Sports package, just wondering.

To be honest, if I could find an 07+ E83 M-sport, WITH a 6-speed manual (I have never seen one, and E83 manuals are rare enough as is) and good condition, I would definitely "downsize" and get rid of my E53 for one. Lighter car, better mileage, some features my '03 is lacking, etc.

EDIT:

Just found 3 6-speed 07+ M-sports on cars.com, one is a 2010 with 30k miles, has all the EOM features that BMW put on at the end of E83 production, dealer wants 30k. Such a rare car, but the E83 is absolutely gorgeous when optioned out with Msport pack and 18+ inches filling the wheel wells, good luck with yours man!

Great finds! I think it is a standalone otion as the VIN decoder lists Sport Package and MSport

S226A Sportliche Fahrwerksabstimmung Sports suspension settings
P337A M Sportpaket M Sports package

You know, never really thought of checking Ebay as I have been burnt once with out-of-state sales (not that it always happens), probably my fault not doing my due diligence? Oh well, anyways I will check them out on Ebay just to "see"..

I am pretty happy with mine although its only been a full day. I do notice the ride a bit "harder" - as is always mentioned with the pre-07 models; than even my previous 540i 6 speeds (97,98,99) But, not uncomfortably so, kinda' like how my '02 M3 rode?

Don't all E83 M-sports (and sport packages) have run flats? that could contribute to the harsher ride, I remember my mom-in-law's ex-E83 rode stiff as balls with sport package (hers was a 2010) and the runflats, and she only had 18s, not even the 19's which were option on E83.

Here are the ones I found on ebay today (all autos):

BMW : X3 xDrive30i in BMW | eBay Motors

BMW : X3 3.0si in BMW | eBay Motors

And my favorite (check out those 19s!)
BMW : X3 3.0si in BMW | eBay Motors

More pics of your ride (especially the interior and that steering wheel mmmmmm) you don't have N52 in the '06? What do you have then, still M54?

More pics tomorrow.. Yes, mine is the last year of the M54... Not terrible but the extra 40hp or so would've been nice..

The E90 interestingly enough had the N52 for '06 w/260hp later E90's was the "detuned" version ~230hp(?) or the N54 twin turbo and later twin scroll, well you guys already know this..

Yeah... Stumbled upon this one, was actually test driving the 4.6is. Then I thought about those 20" tires, the huge brakes, etc. Saw the X3, looked nice test drove it and decided to go a little cheaper, maintenance wise, as they were around the same price anyway..
