All Season for Sport 19 rims staggered
I wanted to know if anyone else had a problem like I did when I went to find A/S Tires for my 19 in rear sport rims. They make the front size in many brands of a/s's..I only found the rears made by Hankook.
I'm not happy with the way they look at all. Some tires of the same size can be smaller or larger depending on which brand you buy. These are way to small width wise. I guess A/S's are made different than Sports and look different. I really don't have time to start paying with buying tires and seeing what rim range will fit the rim and how wide I can go. I could easily have installed the rear size on the front but need to find a rear size of the same brand that would fit. The only tire I could use was Hankook Ventus A/S. Stock size F 255/50ZR-19 R 285/45ZR-19 Anyone fitted larger A/S' that? ![]()

Look up Atturo AZ800, they are an all season tire and made in stock sizes.
I wouldn't change from the stock tires sizing, but you're right, in the staggered 19s size its hard to find a tire that is made in both the front and rear sizes.

I run the 4.4i on 255 all around on staggered 132s. The 285s are hard to find and the car originally came on 255s so I cant see why that would be an issue.

I would NOT recommend going with 255 on the staggered rear. All the 255 tires that I've seen recommend a wheel width between 7-9 inches. The staggered rear wheel is 10 inches wide, which is too far out of range for a 255 tire, for my comfort.

One way to compare and contrast is to use the "tread width" parameter on TireRack. A quick comparison showed that the Ventus's 285 have the same tread width of the Kumho Ecsta STX KL12's 255 (both have 9.5" tread width)!Unfortunately, there aren't that many choices for staggered A/S anymore as you've found. I'm currently running those Kumho STX on the front, but are not very happy with them. I may just have to give up A/S on staggered and go back to a summer setup

So far tires are super quiet, they are also stock equipment now on the new Explorers....not sure if that is a good thing. I live in the northeast and need A/S or I would have installed Michelin sports.

I'm a fan of Nokian Hakkapelitta. Ran them on our old Jeep Grand Cherokee for 120k km. and there was no cupping or other typical problems Jeep GC usually have. Bonus was they were round and rode very well. They list a Z SUV in their high performance in your tire sizes.

I haven't had any tires on the X5 lasted more than 33K miles, but always wore evenly
Here's what I've tried so far:Bridgestone Turanza (OE) - 33K Pirelli Scorpion Asimmetrico - 25K Michelin Latitude - 25K; rears only lasted 18K Kumho Ecsta STX - ??? The Michelin Latitude also run on the narrower side on contact patch. For A/S setup, I liked the Pirelli the most - Unfortunately, they discontinued the rear size I'm going to try Toyo Proxes ST II next as I just saw them with the correct sizes for our staggered 19 setup now (I think they took my suggestions when I wrote them about it a few months back - they used to only had fitment for the front, but no rear).
