^ I first saw it on bf.c and fell in love. Particularly because of this photo...

Thanks for letting me drive Panzer at Bimmerfest, Jay! It was a pleasure to shoot as well.

Jay.

Sweet Jesus.

Sad to say, DINAN does not make any of that kit anymore. I emailed them the other day about some kit and what they have is limited. No blower, no brace, no exhaust no joy.

Supercharger. Hmmmmm.

Anyone else but DINAN?

Great story, and great looking kit!

Thanks!

That's crazy. I just went and looked at DINAN's site again and 4.4 and 4.6is get all kinds of good stuff!? Where's the love for the 4.8?

Here is another source: BMW superchargers, BMW supercharger, BMW turbo, Active Autowerke, ESS, KO Performance

I went a different route, but I checked what was out there. At one time KO Performance offered a kit that put out more boost than Dinan but I had more faith in Dinan because of the BMW association.

If you purchase what Dinan has you might be able to talk them into cutting a bracket . I believe the supercharger is an off the shelf model from Vortex. I would have gone with Dinan because the software was tuned to work with the engine, software modified transmission and Dinan exhaust. You would have to make sure they will allow you to DIY or choose wherever you want to have it installed.

I also spoke with STS. They would build and install a twin turbo package. However, they needed the X at their location for 3 weeks to create the package, do the install, plus a undetermined time for tuning. I was paranoid that some of that time was to beat it to death playing with it.
