It would but there's no need to splice into the ignition because taking the switched live feed from the fuse box is an ignition feed so no need to touch the the ignition wiring.
so wired as i did it in the how too with the 5 pin relay and diodes you will have no issues with feed back or errors positive is taken from the LCM big red wire, fuse the power wire just to keep things safe easily done with female insulated spade fuses and plug them into the spades on the fuse.
If you follow the pics i took you will notice the diodes have a silver ring around one end just make sure you wire them in the same as the pic and there will be no backfeed issues.
