BCRedliner, you don't have to worry about oil hydrolock on the v8 engine. The problem is with the inlines due to the styupid CCV design. Gary from German Auto Solutions is working on a new CCV for quite some time now. I think it's a dicey job, because those M54 engines have the low tension piston rings & vacuum is required. people who use catch cans as an alternative, will have a bad seal in the cylinders because of that & increased wear/scoring chance of the said cylinders.

I was worried I would sound argumentative. Tried not to be--sorry I was not successful. My only intention was to clearly understand so I was pressing. I wanted to know if there is another potential disaster to be paranoid about.
