100 - 150000km seems early for replacement of chains and guides, considering belts are recommended around those km`s .

I wish it wasn't so, but the guides are a weak link on the v8's. I did mean 100-150k miles which is more than in Km.

This seems like a good thread for this...my center console is stuck closed. Not the top part (the "lid"), but the main piece that opens up into the big compartment in the console. No amount of force on the latch will budge it...it's like it's locked. I put some sunglasses in there and I think they must've wedged up against the latch. Is there a way to get it open without breaking it?

Short of removing the center console section and shaking it upside down to try loosen whatever is jamming it, I would go with the 'Triple-H' approach = Hit Hard & Hope

so my brother wanted to give me a Christmas gift of cleaning my engine bay and basically all the plastics under the hood have a white almost sticky residue left behind that wouldn't wash off so before I go and punch him in the face what are some things I could try? I already tried water and a good scrub and I tried some quick detailer and it's still there

If you haven't punched him yet, find out what product it was and call their tech hotline. they would be the best people to know. If you can find out and post it I can also try to look it up.
Sorry...

I'd soak everything with a good APC first, agitate, then rinse. If that doesn't do it, I'd carefully use a chemical cleaner on the affected areas.
