How to properly test if rotors are warped?

I've been getting some apparent high speed brake "jutters". I've recently installed Brembo drilled rotors and EBC red stuff pads. I believe it is mostly coming from front driver side. Does anyone know a way to properly and accurately test for warped rotors? I've also read while searching to change ball joints... I'll be checking around for more info on this as well. Had the new brakes on for a couple thousand miles if that would make a difference in diagnosing the issue. Brembo and EBC installed on the front only.

You need to get some M12 x 1.5 bolts long enough to clamp the rotor to the hub (but not too long!). Then get a dial indicator and a stand to hold it on. Zero it out against the rotor and slowly turn the rotor while watching the dial indicator.

My bet, however, is that the discs and pads haven't been bedded well and you are feeling uneven pad deposits and you don't have warped rotors.

Thanks for the info! I followed some general bedding techniques when I first installed them. I had no issues at first...

Hopefully, you torqued the wheel lugs down properly (140Nm, 100 ft. lbs). Overtorquing can cause problems like you describe.

However, it may be that your thrust arm bushings are going bad. Do you feel any vibration w/o the brakes at around 55mph or higher? That's one sign of the bushings going bad.

Hi-speed jutter at braking could also be your thrush arm bushings.

Now that you say that, I do getsome slight vibrations at around 35 mph when city driving. Occasionally I must add, not all the time. Hopefuly it isn't the rotors, but from now on only oem.

I highly doubt the rotors are warped. It is nearly impossible to do so on a street driven car.

I have warped cheap rotors but never name brand or OEM. Brembo is a supplier to many OEMs.
