2004 3.0i camber issues???

Hello i have a 2004 3.0i with 177,405 miles and still going strong!!!!!

But i recently realized that i have a lot of camber in the rear especially the left.. I know that the e53 has camber in the rear from the factory but mine is getting pretty bad?? I noticed it when i saw a e53 on the road and it looked practicly brand new and the rear barely had any camber at all, compared to mine i got to much i think?? Is there anything majorly wrong or is something just warn out??? - any responses will be gladly appreciated..

Are you noticing any Abnormal wear on the rear? Jack Up the truck and giv'r the ol' wiggle to see whats goin on.

The wear seems to be normal but the left is just a but more than the right... i really noticed it when i saw the other e53. its been driving fine no change it feel just wondering if anything needed to be replaced..

at 177k, I'd highly recommend new ball joints and control arms in the rear of the car to correct your camber issues, at that mileage those parts are definitely worn enough to have some play and have more than spec camber in the rear.

when I got my x5, i had a PPI done. the BMW tech said the spring perch on one side was worn and would need to be replaced to prevent abnormal tire wear. Not sure how true that is or if it's your problem, but it's worth looking at, I'd say. I haven't had my car long enough to know if it's causing abnormal tire wear. I just got new tires though, so i'll presumably find out at some point!

The rear wheels tend to camber over time on just about every e53 I've seen on the road. To solve my issue, I replaced rear subframe bushings and control arm bushings.

The camber on your 3.0 may seem more obvious with the 17" wheels on there. I notice that going from the 20" to 18" wheel on my old 3.0i.
As others said, time for suspension refresh.

I noticed this as well going from the 20's to my winter 17" setup. Even scared myself a little thinking maybe something had gone south prematurely, as it looked like I had significantly more camber with the 17's despite no change on the X geometry. Eye trickery!
