i've had two of those panels hard-wired for several years... when i removed them from the car, and tested them on a bench, they were working as designed, no harm done in the years of service... same panels as in your other post...

Who has used webasto this winter? I used few times...but I did not see rear window defrosting...this winter I retrofited remote and switch on webasto via telestart T60!
2 years ago when I did it via factory navi screen I saw rear window defrosting.... is it consisted with different switching on...I have heard that through coding there is a posibility to dwitch heated seats and steering wheel!

I've used my remote start Webasto twice already and its only autumn! I run it for 15 mins before I start the car when the temps get down below 5C. It warms the engine coolant to about 30C in this time and the cabin blower warms the interior, via the windscreen vents. The window rear heater is not activated - good thing too or the battery would be toast!!!

I have Top Z it is warming only interior not coolant! If it is very cold outside and webasto power is divided to both it will not warm enough inside!

I don't have the independent parking heater option (which is a set of diverter valves in the engine coolant lines to divert coolant away from the engine and feed only the heater core). But it doesnt really ever get much below 0C here (at least on the coast where I live..) so it's not a problem. One less thing to fail!!!

I would doubt you could run a Webasto, the rear window heater, the seat heaters and the heated steering wheel without the engine running - the battery would die very quickly with this load....

I do not have heated seats and heated steering wheel... but hope to retrofit some day! But first winter when I bought a car rear windows were defrosting without any coding! If engine is hot and is hot outside through remote it should switch on only fun to make little bit colder interior air
