The one on my 2004 3.0 was quiet as a mouse, but I did not transfer it to my 4.8is. I just never used it. Or if I did, I never found myself thinking... Yeah... that thing is priceless!

The full size spare along with the handle and belts to assist in lifting it out of my 3.0 did make the transfer to the 4.8is. I wonder how many 4.8's have the full size spare and lift assist handle that I transferred from my 3.0? No matter. Mine does.
