If the car went up on a lift have all of the suspension sensor linkage arms checked for proper orientation. This is a common problem, happens to mine. Check this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...dlights-2.html

I think he just supplied new mounting bolts in case you decided to use them, obviously the real "money piece" on the repair kit is the main seal, and zip ties are a few pennies so he probably throws them in in case you need to snip some zip ties on factory wire routing on the removal of the compressor.

And like was noted above, there is a smaller o-ring included which may or may not be used on our compressors. My pump is working fine for the past year and a half now but one of these days I'll rebuild the pump with a new seal so i can get many more years of trouble free operation.
